These mummy brownies are not only super cute, but they are so easy to make.

These fun Halloween brownies look like mummies and are so simple to make.

You start with premade brownies and decorate them with frosting and candy eyeballs.

You can use homemade brownies or even use boxed brownie mix.

    These brownies are adorable!

Their mummy-wrapped bodies are the perfect Halloween party dessert or work great for any other spooky occasion. They look awesome sitting on a platter and kids can't resist these spooky brownies.

    How to Store

You can make these brownies the night before serving them, just make sure to store them in an airtight container.

If you have any leftovers, store in an airtight container for up to 3 to 5 days.

    Equipment

    • 2 medium bowls
    • parchment paper
    • piping bag
    • mixer or spatula

    Ingredients for Making Mummy Brownies

    • prepared and cooled brownies in the pan (you can use homemade or box mix brownies for this) – Prepare as instructed
    • store-bought frosting – You can use any flavor
    • powdered sugar
    • candy eyes – you can find these at Amazon, Michaels, Walmart, or most grocery stores in the baking aisle

    How to Make Mummy Brownies

Step 1: Prepare brownies as instructed on the box or recipe. I highly recommend lining your pan with parchment paper (and greasing it) so that the liner extends above the brownies so that you can lift the brownies out of the pan after they cool.

Step 2: Let the brownies cool completely, then cut brownies into bars.

Step 3: Use a mixer to beat the frosting and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy – at least a minute or two.

Step 4: Fill piping bag with the frosting and cut a small cut at the bottom of the bag. You can pipe onto a parchment paper to test the size of the cut. I preferred a bit larger of a hole, but you can decide for yourself.

Step 5: You can either pipe small dots directly on the back of the candy eyeballs and place onto the brownies, OR you can pipe the dots onto the brownies and place the eyes on the frosting dots.

Step 6: Pipe lines across the brownies and allow the eyes to peek out between the lines. I find that the mummies look better with more frosting lines, so don’t be shy about adding frosting!
