Homemade Bisquick

This homemade Bisquick mix is the perfect substitute if you run out of Bisquick. It's quick and easy to make and perfect for a homemade pantry. Use it in place of Bisquick in any recipe.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup vegetable shortening regular or butter, cubed

Instructions
 

  • Place flour, baking powder and salt to the bowl of a food processor.
  • Pulse ingredients for about 10 seconds.
  • Add in cubed vegetable shortening (I used butter flavored shortening, regular is fine).
  • Pulse until the mix has a cornmeal type texture.
  • Place homemade Bisquick in an airtight container.
  • Can last in fridge for up to 3 months
