Snickerdoodles Cookies

Delicious, soft snickerdoodles. A great, cinnamon and sugar flavored cookie.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Coating

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mat.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, 1 ½ sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, milk and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
  • Gradually add flour mixture and mix until combined.
  • In a small bowl whisk together ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon.
  • Scoop using a cookie dough scoop or tablespoon and roll dough into ball.
  • Roll dough in sugar and cinnamon mixture and place on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until slightly set in the center for a soft cookie, longer if you want a crispier cookie.
  • Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool.
  • Store in airtight container.
